Baptism of the Holy Spirit

It is a wonderful experience and choice to become a Christian. All it needs is Faith to believe in Jesus Christ as your saviour and acknowledge it by your mouth.

Romans 10:9-10
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a seperate experience after being born again.

Luke 24:48-50
48 And you are witnesses of these things. 49 Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem[a] until you are endued with power from on high.”

What is Jesus speaking about here, He is indicating the pouring of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples. Now remember that the disciples are already believers and they are also witnesses to Lord Jesus Christ, still they are ordered to remain in Jerusalem until they receive the Holy Spirit.

John 20:21-22
21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.

Acts 1:3-5
4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

After resurrection Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit upon the disciples and again after His forty days stay with them asked them to wait for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Scripture is God breathed and they are always complementary rather than contradictory. Every believer has the Holy Spirit with them when they are born again, but we all need the indwelling of the Holy Spirit by receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

To those of you who are born again, ask God to fill you right now. Just believe and you will receive. Baptism of the Holy Spirit is always manifested in the scriptures in the way of speaking in tongues. Thirst for it and receive it.

Luke 11:12-14
12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

Receive the Power of the Holy Spirit in Jesus Name. Amen!
